Clay County Sheriff Bobby Deese Endorses Rod Honeycutt

In Republican Primary for NC-14, House of Representatives

Clay County: Today, Clay County Sheriff Bobby Deese endorses Republican Candidate Rod Honeycutt to represent North Carolina’s 14th District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Meetings leading up to the endorsement included an August meeting to discuss map orientation and department priorities, and a December follow-up meeting.

Sheriff Deese endorses Rod Honeycutt adding the following statements:

About Rod Honeycutt

The Honeycutt Family is a Law Enforcement Family (six decades, three generations). Rod Honeycutt’s Dad, brothers, and son are currently serving or have served in North Carolina law enforcement agencies. Rod Honeycutt earned his Criminal Justice Degree at the University of South Carolina, worked as an intern at the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and commanded Military Police Units throughout his 37-year U.S. Army career.

For nearly four decades, Rod Honeycutt proudly wore the uniform of a United States service member. The tag on his uniform, U.S. Army, was a daily reminder of the oath he took to defend our country and the people of the United States. Today, more than ever, that oath continues to guide and direct his decision to represent the hard-working men and women of Western North Carolina.
